Stark snorted and trotted off to attend to the herd, making sure everyone was taken care of.
Mariah looked up from grooming the foal, then up at the large horse. "oh..hello." She said.

Kolorsha smiled. "Well, certainly anything with the guts to try will be in for an unpleasant suprise!" She replied. "If you or one of your herd mates could lead me to water, I'd appreciate it, Aubrey" She looked toward the mare who'd greeted her. "Good day to you, dear" Kolorsha smiled at the young mare's foal. "Ah, isn't she a cute one!"

Aubrey let out a warm sigh, "yes Kolorsha, have you ever seen a small one that wasn't cute. I betcha you were a little cutie when you were a filly..." I can use a drink myself, there's brook right through that small tree grove. I will lead you there..." Aubrey a few feet forward, swishing his long tail, turning his head toward his back. "Coming?"

"Mmmm....I can imagine what you looked like as a colt too, dear..." Kolorsha replied, giving Aubrey's flank a teasing nip. "...after you, stud"

Aubrey laugh, "oh, you should have seen me when I was a colt. I was a knock-out with all the fillies in the parents herd, because of my pretty blue eyes. Aubrey felt Kolorash's nip, he smiled and said. "The mare who nip my flank was my dear mate. I surely miss her. Minutes they enter the small area, where a brook runs through. "Well my friend, here we are. Aubrey bowed his head, "mares are first!!!!

Kolorsha smiled. "As a filly, I knocked out a couple of colts whose attractions were unwanted, also because of my eyes." she laughed "Guess we have a bit more in common than it looks, don't we?" Kolorsha nodded her thanks. "Though you may regret that when I drink the stram dry!" she remarked, lowering her large dial to the flowing water.

"Well you are a beautiful sight, I have to say..." I don't see many of your breed, and specially of your color. "About the water, no need to worry, there plenty of water where that comes from..."

"Why thank you dear. It's not often you smaller types mean that toward us" Kolorsha finally replied, lifting her head to meet Aubrey's gaze. She nuzzled him. "Most times, they feel we're just overly big slow grass eaters..." she finished, lowering her maw to drink agin. After a time, she finished, raising her dial again. "Ah, that was just what I needed...."

Aubrey reach up to Kolorsha muzzle with his reaching to her nostrils he breath into hers exchanging breath, "your truly welcome..." Walking over to the brook, lowering his maw, took a drink to quench his thirst. Lifting his head, said. "We usually don't have mares traveling by themselves alone, they are either accompanied with there mate or with a foal.

Kolorsha let Aubrey exchange breath with her as she did the same. "Well, i'm guessing you don't see many like myself out here. Frankly i'm suprised you hadn't been shocked when you first saw me. Usually, that's the reaction I get from other true wilds."

"Shocked...!!! "Why would I be in shocked, he said. "I see no different in you, when I breath in your scent, just the same as us wilds, except your breath is much more warmer. The only thing I see, is your size, and perhaps that's is in our favor. "You see, we been troubled by predators, specially our young ones. They see the looks of you, maybe they will leave us alone.

(( SOrry for the no replies guys! I got a job and then my laptop died. I'll try to update more ))
Stark watched as his father left with the bigger horse. He snorted and turned to scan the horizon. Oh how he wanted his mother, and his younger sister.
He whinnied a little then went down to the herd, kinda rounding them up a little as he'd watched his father do many a time. Once rounded up, he stood guard over the herd.
Twilight stood by Ban as the sun began to set. The long trip of the day had tired the both of them, and she was looking forward to a good night sleep. Suddenly, a small pain hit her in the side, like a hard kick. She grunted. "Ban flicked his ear to Twilight. "Are you ok, love?"
Kira halted her small groups movements. Ears flicking to a fro. She'd thought she'd heard a horses whinny somewhere, but that's not what had her attention.
What had her attention were the small rocks that had fallen from the canyons above. They were being watched. She sniffed the air, though nothing was smelt. She snorted and moved Kimora toward the center of the herd.

Aubrey watched, as Stark rounded up the small herd, he was so proud of him. "<Only wish his mother can see him, saying to himself>..." Aubrey walk up to Stark, nip his forelocks, "Your going to be a proud leader someday my son, I only wish your mother can see you, she would be proud of you too..." From where Aubrey was standing, he watched his daughter Twilight and Ban, and was getting worried about her. "Kira!!! where are you, I need you, he cried out, with a sorrowful neigh..."

Kolorsha meanwhile, had her dial held up, nares taking in the scents on the winds. "You'd best hope you're right about that Aubrey. I've a feeling that will be put to the test soon enough...."

Aubrey turned to Kolorsha, I hope your not right, we don't need predators at the moment, specially with all these young one. You know Kolorsha, you'll make a wonderful foal watcher, heck, three or four can hide under you with no problem. We had a mare in my herd, with that responsibility.
