Kiowa listened to Sombra. "It will be my first. It will definitely be a new experience for me." She nipped the young foal's mane as he lay at her feet. "Although it appears I'll actually be raising two foals."

When Sombra saw Fireborne, he notice his body and face badly burned. Being new, he didn't want to say anything, but now he been accepted to the herd, he ask Fireborne. "Sir, my traveling to your herd, I came across land that was scorched, the stench of smoke filled my nostrils. Pardon for me for asking, where you and your herd near this land...?"

"We may have been, Sombra" Fireborne replied. "I no longer am sure. I travelled for what seemed like many suns after the fire, and if that herd had not found me when they did, i'd be in Equus's pastures now...." The scarred stallion shook his dial. "All I can say for certain is the land bears scars, much like I do, from that night."

Kiowa stood patiently. She dipped her head down, nibbling on a tiny patch of weeds. She shook her mane gently. "Will we be heading out soon or staying here?" The mare looked around. The concern at the furthest forward piece of her mind was her unborn foal. Where it would be born, and how to make it's first few days of life simple.

The sun was beginning to rise and the over active foals Percival and Nicodemus raise form the ground and stretched their long legs. Immediately Nicodemus, the grey dapple foal charged Percival and nipped at his little brother's mane, knocking Percival into Ballormaa.

"No we cannot. As much as one sometimes wishes otherwise...." Fireborne replied, sighing. He looked toward Kiowa. "We can move on if you want, Kiowa but I feel Sombra is correct. This would make a good place to stay for a while, at least until after you and your unborn foal recover some strength."
