(Anyone can join!!!! Just jump straight in!!! )
In a land of myth, and a time of magic. There had always been evil. You could see the magical place turn into A war sinned land because of one ruler. A ruler so evil that his conscience had been lost many a millennia ago. Animals ran to new lands away from the evil ruler. But our story begins high up in the mountains deep in the heart of the winter season hope shines through to all... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Winter isn't normally this cold up here.} She said while shaking the snow off her back. She had been searching for food all throughout the day and she had finally found some grass. {Food. Finally!} She bowed her head and grazed the grass, she flattened her ears from the snow. She could of gone into the cave for shelter but her hunger was to much.

The stallion was on the move once again. Zoran liked the mountains; he preferred the cold climates much more than the warmer ones at a lower altitude, and today the snow lay in blankets on the ground. He grinned and lowered his head to the ground, nuzzling at the snow to get at the small snatches of grass underneath. Chomping up the minimal amounts, he looked up and spotted a cave nearby. /That would be an excellent place to spend the night/ he thought to himself. He hated being on the move so much, but he had no choice- wherever he stayed he was pushed out eventually, mainly because he made the resident stallions nervous. He was a sensitive soul and didn't want to trouble anyone. He snorted and broke into a trot, moving his way through the mountainous landscape with the ease of a veteran. His gold braids glittered in the sunlight and danced against his muscular neck as he moved, and as he neared the cave he held back to nuzzle the snow a little more. Maybe there was more grass nearby.

Jaela listened to the wind swirl around the mountain top. She thought to herself {Well done Jaela you chose just the right place to be swooped off the mountain by strong winds} But she had to admit it she had been a bit careless about where to live. She knew the mountains were 1 million miles away from anything but it was peaceful. Out the corner of her eye something was very...very shiny. Jaela jumped up from the ledge and was walking closer to the source of the shining thing. "Ooo! Shiny thing....." she watched as it disappeared into the cave. She got closer and entered the cave. It was really empty and the noise echoed which scared her. Swallowing her fear she let out a shaky question. "H-Hello? Is anyone in here?"

Zoran had found his way into the cave by now and shook off the excess snow he'd felt when he'd been caught in a snowstorm hours earlier. It was warm and safe, or so he thought until he heard a sound come from the entrance. He froze. For such a large and heavy stallion, he definitely scared easy. It was the feminine side of his personality, he guessed with annoyance. He turned around with wide eyes and called out nervously, "Yes, there is. I'm sorry, if this was your cave I didn't realise..." He walked towards the entrance wearily, head low to the ground and ears forwards in curiosity.

Jaela jumped at the voice. "N-no, this isn't m--m--my cave." She said very nervously she didn't know there was anyone here especially someone with such a low voice. She heard the footsteps walking closer. She didn't know whether to stay and find out who it was or run. But she dug her cloven hoof's into the ground and just started to quiver.

Zoran recognised the voice as female, which calmed him somewhat; he wasn't a fan of stallions, he got far too nervous around them. He was afraid of himself, and if there was the whiff of a stallion anywhere he would hightail it out of there as quick as he could. He snorted and walked into view, the shadows melting back and revealing his bright blue pelt. His masked marking over his face was still flecked with snow, and his gold eyes shone curiously as a newborn colt's. He radiated submissiveness despite his size, and when he caught sight of the mare he lifted his head up, ears forward and eyes wide. "Oh, hello", he said, his voice a small rumble. He flicked his shortened tail behind him and caught the small shine of his own braids in the corner of his eye. "I'm sorry to have startled you, I-I didn't mean to..." he said sheepishly.

She saw his bright coulor and then saw the shiny things in his mane. "S-so your the t-th-thing that was s-s-sh-shiny." She felt like a little foal, so naive that something shiny was something harmless. She knew that some stallions hated different mares, let alone a hybrid mare! But this stallions aura was different he seemed quite easily scared. "N-no worries, I-I was j-just shocked t-that someone was i-in h-h-here." she was making a fool of herself she could her it, stuttering over words.

"Shiny?" Zoran questioned, looking slightly confused. "Oh!" He swung his body around to swirl his tail in a circle, making the braids jingle together and glint in the sunlight. "Do you mean these? Well I suppose I do shine, then", he said conversationally, looking back at her. She was a hybrid, make no mistake about that. Her markings were easy to determine her as not being a normal horse, but who was he to judge? He had been brought up a Wanderer, a Gypsy: he had seen all manner of creatures in his lifetime and treated every one with respect. He lowered his head to her level and smiled in a nervous but friendly way. "There's no need to be afraid, you startled me as much as I startled you", he said softly, his eyes large and almost childlike. "I just wanted to keep out of the wind."

She saw them shine again she had never seen anything like that before. She swallowed before speaking getting her thoughts together. "I don't really see any one else up here." She had forgotten the last time she saw another living thing up here. She slowly edged her nose closer to the stallion she had never seen another being like him before. "I understand the wind up here is quite strong. Strong enough to knock you off a ledge." Jaela said remembering about last week.

"Really?" Zoran asked, sounding a little worried as he nosed her back. He liked the contact; it made him feel safer somehow. "Well even with my frame, I don't want to get myself into any trouble. The wind was picking up and I thought it was best to shelter before I carry on." He lookd around him now at the bleak peaks and rocky cliff faces. "You...live here?" he inquired curiously, looking back at the small mare. "It's quite the place."

"Yea, this is a place where I call home. But on a clear day the view is breathtaking." She said she knew this mountain and all the conjoining mountains. She knew where the predators lived, where the best water supply was. Her time alone up here paid off in these situations. "So did you have anywhere in particular that you were headed?" Jaela said as she flicked her ears forward she had always wondered how different lives were always interesting.

Zoran nodded, looking out behind her and to the clouded area below. "I'm sure they are, and I'd like to stick around to see it. It's a bit too treacherous to try to move around in such weather." On the subject of destination his ears flattened and he looked saddened. He wished, oh he wished so much that there was an end point. "No", he said in a small voice that didn't suit his giant form, "I have nowhere to travel to, but I travel anyway. It's in my blood. I come from a long line of Wanderers. We don't have homes but we touch every place on the map and help where we can. Although I have to admit I would love to be reaching somewhere." He sighed heavily. /But that would mean settling, and he knew he wouldn't settle with the gender his species accepted/. "Are there many others around here?" he asked.

"Up here the best company I've got is having a cougar chasing be around." She said but then thought how frightening that must sound. "B-but that doesn't happen often!" but in her mind {Yea not often more like all the time!} "Are there other horses out there?" She wasn't used to having company.

"A c-cougar?" Zoran's ears flew back as he looked around. He greatly loved all of the world's creatures, and though he would rather not injure or even kill a beautiful living thing, if a cougar got near him he would defend himself. It was survival of the fittest after all! He smiled at the mention of other horses and nodded his head. "There's lots of horses around, but I tend to stray away from the big herds, especially with...with stallions around." he admitted with a sheepish and somewhat conscious smile. "I don't do well in male company."

Jaela never knew there were big groups of others wondering around. "Your the first horse I've seen for at least 5 years" She didn't know how to act. She was left for dead up here by her herd for being 'different' "Are stallions nasty to you?" She said very innocently.
