[Anyone can join in, more info about Ztardust and Zaph can be found in their bios!]
The night was fresh and the air crisp, the moon shining down from its giant pedestal in the sky. The moonlight highlighted the cluster of trees and a slowly meandering river weaving through the landscape, and soon the silver glow caressed the forms of two stallions emerging from the undergrowth.
The first was the more athletic looking of the two, and his white coat was muted by the lack of light along with his blue and lightning bolt markings that would stick out like a stop sign to the humans that hunted them. This was the main reason why the pair tended to travel at night; it was simply easier to get anywhere without having to deal with being chased or attacked by predators. The stallion stopped every few strides and looked behind him at the older horse bringing up the rear, and he let out a bizarre twittering noise that got the other's attention. "C'mon Zaph, keep up!" he trilled, pawing the ground in his impatience. The other stallion glowered at his companion. "Some don't enjoy marches, Ztardust", he said grumpily, "especially when we don't even know where we're headed." Ztardust grinned, completely unfazed by his friend's bad mood. "Well that's why we have to keep going, silly! We'll find someplace sometime", he said, dancing on his toes as Zaph caught up with him.
His friend was even more conspicuous than Ztardust was; Zaph was mainly dusky blue in colour with forest green mane that fell down to the tops of his forelegs. The black markings around his eyes though always made him appear as though he was sorrowful and crying, Ztar thought with a frown; the stallion had reasons to be sad, but that wasn't what life was about! It was about adventure and meeting new horses!
Zaph shook his head and grumbled something inaudibly, and Ztar snorted. "You have to speak up, Zaph! We're travelling partners now!" "I said I don't understand where you get your optimism from", he said, walking forwards despite his words. "Well that's easy", Ztardust said, flicking his tail out behind him as he trotted ahead, "I make my own happiness! You should try it sometime!" Zaph rolled his eyes and trotted to keep up with the younger stallion. Ztardust baffled and confused him sometimes. How someone who had lost so much could remain that cheerful no one knew.

In the middle of the valley stood one very upset unicorn. He was small, only 14 hands, and looked more deer like than horse like. His legs were long and thin with cloven hooves, and he had the tail of a lion. His pelt was pure white, and his mane was mid length and wavy. His eyes were a pale blue, with long white lashes. His snow colored coat shinned in the moon light. He pure fur was marred by crimson,as an arrow was shown to be stuck in his hindquarters.
The white male gazed up at the sky and sighed."......I hate my life...."He then laid down in the grass.Hoping that some rest would make him feel better.Just a little nap should help.

Stalking silently in the trees was a mare. She had been alone for too many years. She had an unusual mane and tail that also was true about her face, legs and hoof's. Her body was silver and glossy. Her ears perked at the sound of the river. Silently she thought to herself {Too long without water, Too long without food and Too long without company} A single silver tear fell from her long lashes. Times like this were the times crazy ideas came.

Ztardust's happiness only grew when he caught sight of the river. "Water!" he said happily, and with a flick of his heels he was off, charging towards the river headlong with a trumpet of excitement. Zaph shook his head again and followed, knowing better than to leave the idiot on his own for too long, before he caught sight of a shimmering shape not too far from them. He frowned; he wasn't used to seeing others travelling at the same kind of time they did, and it was kind of nice to see other equines did exist in this place. He would have usually let the creature pass without judgement or comment, but he had been in Ztardust's company for too long and he was yearning for something different. Besides, having the bisexual stallion harass him every hour or so was getting tiring.
He walked towards the figure with his head lowered, ears flicked forward with interest. As the figure got closer he realised what it was. “A unicorn?” he muttered to himself, his nose wrinkling slightly with the impossibility of it. He was a DreamEquine, a fantasy creature, and even he had been told unicorns were no longer around. This definitely proved all the stories wrong. He walked a little closer, but didn’t dare get too close in case the unicorn wasn’t friendly. He nuzzled the grass near to the now lying down figure, and flicked his tail out behind him to bat away the fireflies. This was most strange indeed.
Ztardust meanwhile was enjoying himself in the river. He had splashed into its depths with the gaiety of a colt and shook his nose in the water to spray his coat with drops of the cooling water. He snorted, making bubbles in the river, and chuckled as he brought his nose out, looking up at the sky. This place was so vast, so diverse, that it almost felt like he could walk forever and never have to retrace his hoofsteps. It was a nice feeling, he thought, and he could get used to it. With a snort he lowered himself into the water and rolled, the water flying out onto the banks as he did so. Thankfully the river didn’t have much of a strong current, so the immature stallion was safe from being swept away. He then sensed another presence in the air and stopped his playing, lifting his head up and frowning. “Zaph?” he called out, but he wasn’t granted with a response. He continued to lie in the water and listen, trying to figure out what it was that was nearing him.

She started to slow down as she got closer to the river she was imagining how the cold water would refresh her thirst. As she walked out form the clearing she saw the shining river. She couldn't help smiling down at the river. She bowed her head down and drank the cold refreshing water. She closed her eyes shutting the world outside.

The unicorn was fast asleep. His nap had turned into a full on dream filled sleep. He wiggled slightly in the grass,as he tried to keep his injured backside from touching the ground. The arrow was lodged tight next to his hip,and was very painful to walk with. His ear flicked as he heard something approach him,but he was in to deep a dream state to wake up from a slight sound. With a mumble he shifted onto his uninjured side, and faded a bit more into his dream.

Zaph wandered just that bit closer, realising that the unicorn was pretty much out for the count. He knew that feeling all too well; he constantly dropped down from exhaustion thanks to the merry dances Ztardust would lead him on. He frowned though as the stallion shifted and an arrow was made visible embedded into the soft flesh near his hip. His ears twitched as he heard Ztardust's playfullness in the river but he chose to ignore it, focusing instead on the prone creature before him. "I have to hand it to the bipeds, they must have quite a shot if they managed to snag you, my friend", he muttered softly enough to not rouse the sleeping unicorn. He looked to the left and hissed, "Ztar? Psst, get over here."
Ztardust was on a quest of his own, though. He was very interested in what was approaching the river on the further side, and was wading through the deeper parts curiously, ears flicked forwards. The scent was on the wind of a mare, and that interested him. He jumped free of the river and shook himself before setting off at a smart trot along the river. It didn't take long to find the culprit of the strange sense, and Ztardust lifted his head up to further regard her. "Now, the last time I checked", he said softly in greeting, walking towards her, "no one's wanted to see water so badly." He smiled in a friendly way.

She broke from her daydream to see a Stallion walking closer to her. She flicked her ears forward and locked at him very closely. She laughed very quietly at what he said. " Trust me, If you've traveled as far as I have you would sell your soul for water." She shook her head getting rid of the exes water. "Im Cariad by the way" she said while smiling at the stallion.

The unicorn stirred in his sleep as he heard voices. His ears flicked back as he tried to pull himself from his dream filled haze.He slowly opened his pale blue eyes to see a stallion standing above him, whispering to someone. The cloven hoofed male quickly shot to his feet, ignoring the pain in his rump as he leaped away from the other male. His eyes were wide with fear as he stared at the other horse.
"Stay away from me!"he said as he tried to hold himself up in spite of his burning hip.

Zaph jumped back himself with a surprised squeal, half-rearing with the suddenness of the movement shown by the other stallion. “Hey, calm down”, he said with a surprised snort, lowering his forelegs back to the ground delicately. He tossed his head irritably and tilted his head to one side. “I didn’t mean to get so close, I just couldn’t help noticing that extra passenger of yours.” He nodded at the arrow lodged in his body. “If you’d rather keep it in there then be my guest. I just felt like being a good Samaritan.” He frowned and flicked his tail against his legs. “I could take a look at it, if you’d let me. I’ve had to pull out many an arrow or snare in my time.”
Ztardust smiled, relieved that she seemed the friendly sort too. “Have you been travelling far, then?” he asked, his nostrils flaring as he got closer to her. “I’ve been travelling too, well I’m a traveller at heart. I don’t tend to settle in one place, me and my friend Zaph travel together”, he said quickly and then chuckled at how rushed it sounded. “I’m sorry, I’m just not used to having too much company, I’m Ztardust. Cariad, what a beautiful name. It suits you.” He smiled genuinely, and it made the statement seem more like a matter of fact instead of a mere flirtation tactic. Ztardust was a terrible flirt, and it seemed to be the way he said hello these days.

She still couldn't believe how confident he was. "Yea, I've had to my own traveling." She said. She noticed that he was coming closer to her. "Before when I was younger i was in a herd but lets just say the new leader didn't really agree with my believes and he exiled me. Oh gosh, your the first horse I've told of my past." She said while blushing. "You seem to have an interesting life especially travelling around" she caught her breath "I haven't had to much company since that day." She turned to look at the stallion " 'sigh' you probably don't want to hear about my past...Anyway what sites have you seen on your travels? " She said through her long lashes looking up to him.

The white unicorn snorted and winced as his hip burned with pain.He had been walking with it stuff in his backside for a full day now,and it was beginning to look a tad sickly. With a sigh he looked up at the larger male.
"........I would be grateful...if you would help me get this out..I suppose."he said staring at the ground. He didn't want to look weak to the other male.

Zaph felt a bit more settled when the unicorn looked less violent- but then again, he had been rudely awakened. He snorted softly and looked back at the arrow critically. Even though it seemed a bit sickly, the area didn't seem like it would have ruptured anything vital. He walked a little closer to him and offered him a small smile. "You don't have to worry, it's happened to me a fair few times. You should meet my friend, and then it'd explain a lot." He nosed the arrow thoughtfully. "I'm surprised you've kept it in this long, you must have a pretty high pain threshold", he said with a small smile. "I'll have to yank it out quickly with my teeth. It'll hurt, but it'll be over quicker than if I did it slower." His bedside manner was taking over, he realised; the thoughts of his old medic days in the Dreamscape flooded back, but he bit them back firmly. Now was not the time to reminisce. "I haven't seen one of your kind around for a while. I wasn't even sure you were still around, no offence."
Ztardust grinned- another lost soul! Perfect! "I could never stay in a herd, not me!" he said, lifting his head high to show off, "I'm a lone wolf, I make my own adventures. Being in a herd slows you down, I always find. I broke free of my restrictions long ago, my friend was exiled though. He's around here somewhere, blue guy with a sour face." He smiled warmly and moved so he was stood beside her. "I have a talent of doing that", he said, ""I'm just lucky I guess. And honestly, talk away, I'm always interested to hear tales, especially the tales of pretty mares like yourself!" He beamed as she asked about him; that was one of his favourite pasttimes! "Well, I've been everywhere. You call it, I've seen it. I've been to the ends of the earth, and every waterfall, forest and desert I've called my home. It's a lovely life, isn't it Cariad?"

She was actually surprised that he wanted to know about her past. "Traveling sure does have it's benefits! The amount of different creatures I've seen during by exile it's been amazing" she could feel that he was standing right next to her. "Firstly, when I was about 3 the herd leader my mother and my step father gave everyone a mark just behind their left shoulder." She turned to show him her mark. then went back to where she was standing before. "But when my father was ambushed by a younger stallion jealous of his power. Since I was the last of my fathers offspring normally they would kill me so their herd was 100% his. But he had other ideas, since my mother was elderly and wouldn't be mated to him, So he thought that he would mate with me." She paused gathering her thoughts. "But I wasn't ready for that to happen, He tried persuading me but after a while he got agitated and tried to make me his by force." She was fighting back the tears. "But, I attacked him before any thing happened. So, they made my mark turn red permanently that showed I was exiled. After that I've just been searching for something that I don't even know what it is." She sighed and looked back at him "So that's my story so far." She smiled at him "Have you ever seen anything throughout your adventures that you could never believe that it was true?" As she asked him somewhere deep in her eyes a memory of something started to flicker.

The unicorn nodded his head as the other male spoke. He seemed pretty calm about the arrow sticking out of his rump, and talked as tho he knew what to do.He grumbled in pain to the others statement.
"....I've been hurt a few times before.I didn't leave it in on purpose,I just didn't have time to stop......Do what you must.Anything to get it out off me..."
The unicorn frowned at the males words about his kind.
".......We are...Popular with the humans as of late."
