History: Goodness where do I start? Kishou has been a role
play character of mine for over 7 years. He started out as a peophin from Neopets but I quickly found keeping him that way really limited him. He has gone through 3 mates and has 6 children, 2 of which are dead and one who he has disowned. He is really only in contact with 2 of his children, as contact with his second youngest daughter is limited as she lives with her mother. His 2 oldest children were murdered by faeries in his Neopet days (I'm struggling to find an alternative). He now lives with his mate, oldest living daughter, Lilly, his youngest daughter, Xena, and his stepson, Kin. Kishou has had to fight for his right to live mainly his entire life as he's marked for death by "stealing" the mask on his head, though it was given to him by the same people who are accusing him. It has certain magical properties, but he's not sure what they all are. A few of them are that when he is feeling particularly emotional, a golden horn will form on his mask. Another keeps him perpetually at 25 (his little sister Eva is creeping up on him age-wise). And you'd never guess he has a granson or a great-granddaughter. His grandson Xoaeir was the product of Kishou's oldest son, who was murdered. Kishou and his oldest son never really got on, so he considers Xo his son (he basically had to raise him anyway).
Personality: Kishou is very loud, opinionated, and boisterous. You either love him or you hate him. He likes to get drunk, party, and have a good time, but there is a serious side to him. He's actually loosened up significantly and is nowhere near the bitter tightass he used to be. He spent some time in a military-like patrol protecting a volcano under the supervision of Eri, where he really just learned to let go and get over the disappearance of his first mate Elin and his daughter Lilly (later they were reconciled, Elin is gone but Lilly stayed). From this time he sometimes slips back into a British accent (fake as ever but he and his friend Shadow thought it would be a good idea). He often speaks before he thinks and it gets him into trouble.
Played By: Mini (me of course) Just FYI, sometimes my characters switch between anthro/quad/human at my whim...
Darkness. The cloudy night sky obscured light through the usually clear waters of the Pacific, but tonight, no one would notice the shadowed figure slipping easily through the currents, letting them take him anywhere as they wished. He had spent too much time on land lately. This is really where he belonged, under the protection of the sea. He didn't quite want to go back to the Patrol yet either, though he knew Eri was waiting for him. They had abandoned the volcano quite a while ago, choosing instead Bimir Bay in the land of Ithere. He wasn't sure why, but he trusted Eri's judgement. In any case, it was better than Beldar Bay, where his cousin Moscha ruled with a greedy and iron fist. Besides, he didn't think he could take Jaxako's chatter today.
It was just nice to slide along unnoticed, being able to let go of some responsibilities for a while. He loved his children, sure, but he just did not understand why Lilly absolutely refused to eat meat or why Xena had to choose his favorite chair to turn into a catapult. Bah He thought. It's hard enough to sit in that thing with a tail anyway. Besides that, he was sort of hoping he'd run into a stranger anyway. To talk to an adult that wasn't a workaholic or related to him somehow. It seemed these days he shared a line with everyone somehow.
He flipped onto his back and let himself float up to the surface, his aquamarine eyes staring up into the clouds. It wouldn't rain tonight, but the water was cool as winter was coming. He wondered how far from the Bay he'd floated, and what Eri would say (or yell) when he got back. He'd probably just ignore her anyway...couldn't understand half of what she said anyway!
