History:
Pantomime has never felt happy being herself. It's true to say that she's always envied others with such outrageous personalities, no matter if they're kind or cruel. She wishes she was as daring and bold as others are so naturally: And it is all she can do to follow them quietly and occasionally try to copy them. She's never felt confident with any decisions she makes but also is afraid to get close to others. She's scared of the hurt that comes with being so happy. But at the same time, she sees others, so overjoyed, and wishes she wasn't afraid of hurting. But there's nothing she can do about it - she is who she is. As a foal, she didn't talk much, which resulted in others giving her the cruel nickname 'mime'. It was a painful time for her and it wasn't one of the braver foals noticed and stood up for her that she truly appreciated and began to wish she was more courageous. She wasn't eye-catchingly beautiful, and saw herself as rather ugly. Because of this, Pantomime has always been intimated by attractive horses as they are so alien to herself and she finds it difficult to relate to them. She left her herd with a feisty young mare and they travelled together for a while before the other found a stallion and it was love at first sight. Of course, they couldn't travel together any more, so they said their goodbyes and Pantomime's been looking, since then, for a place that calls to her.
Personality:
Pantomime's not exactly outgoing. She never makes initial contact and often fears that those who seem to like her are just pretending. Her major self confidence issues interfere with her day to day life but no matter how she tries, she can't overcome them. She is attracted to those with outstanding personalities like a moth to a flame and will often observe admiringly from afar. Pan is a good friend but isn't very trusting which means she doesn't have many, but gets on with most. She has many 'good acquaintances'. She is also very cautious with her use of the world friend: Just because she's had a couple of nice conversations with another doesn't mean that they're friends - she doesn't use the term as loosely as others do. When conversations begin to turn in her direction she tries to stay out of the limelight. Her most hated and feared topic is about her emotions: She rarely opens up to anybody and when she does, almost instantly regrets it. She thinks that any information she gives anyone could be used as a weapon against her, so tries not to reveal anything at all.

Pantomime walked along steadily, humming very quietly to herself. She occasionally flicked her tail or twitched her ears, but did little else then that. She'd been walking for quite a while now, but there was still no herd in sight, but she held back the sigh. She had a feeling that once she'd traveled upon lands where she belonged, she would know. She would feel it. She looked up and saw a small hill up ahead, deciding to cross over it and then stop to eat. She smiled faintly as she heard the faint trickle of a stream and hurried into a smooth trot, lowering her head. She came over the hill and smiled - the stream was in fact bigger than it sounded, and because of the water supply, the grass around it was tall and lush.
She smiled and flicked her tail, trotting down the small hill to munch eagerly on the tall emerald blades. Somewhere in the back of her mind she realized that something must be wrong: There must be a reason why the land was not populated, as it appeared quite ideal. But this thought did not immediately occur to her, as she was too preoccupied enjoying herself. Once she'd snatched up some grass she trotted over to the stream and drank thirstily. Once satisfied, she raised her head, her ears flicked back lazily. She stood there for a few minutes just soaking up the sun, then lowered her head once more to eat, blissfully unaware or whatever - or whoever - it was that made sure the area was so unpopulated.
The dappled palomino stood along in the large clearing, the wide stream running through it pleasantly. Around the outside was a forest which looked quite pleasant at first: Thick, with light dappling through the many leaves and between the intertwined branches. But at a second glance one would realize that the gaps where the sunlight didn't reach looked almost ominous in contrast: There were perfect places for even large beings to hide and while in the clearing horses could be totally unaware. So of course, Pantomime had no reason to suspect that anything may lurk between the trees, especially something with bad intent...
( I tried to do a nice introduction for any characters who're a bit on the dark side So feel free to join and create havoc! )[/font]
