Just curious.
I can't possibly chose just one so here are my favourites:
-Lusitanos Elegant, noble, dignified, sensible... yet gentle. Like the noble steed from fantasy heroes, or like wing-less pegasi. And they come in a whole pantone of coat colors!
I love their baroque necks, the shape of their heads, their thick manes, their beautiful eyes... they're pure iberian beauty.
-Andalusians In my opinion, if the horse kingdom had a king, he would be Andalusian.
They're noble, brave and smart, dignified and proud. They are like marble statues... muscular but not coarse, elegant but not dainty... they're just what a King should look like.
-Asian Pony breeds Like the Hokkaido Pony, Yonaguni, Mongolian Horse, Przewalskis, Tarpans...
They're hardy little horses, not your fanciest breeds but they do have a certain rustic cuteness, a perfect, allmost wild mix of function and looks, they are little warriors, workers, survivors... And I just love those thick manes!
-Mustangs Born from aristocrats, bred into shape by mother nature... they combine elegance with hardyness... and THAT is what I like on a horse.
-Argentine Criollos Gorgeous, unique coat colors including the rare and beautiful manchado, thick legs and hardyness.
-Arabians who doesn't like arabians, really? elegance, grace and dignity, if the horse kingdom had a queen she would be arabian. AND incredible endurance!
-Icelandic horses Same as the above... elegant and hardy + thick mane. They come in a variety of colors, too!

I agree! All horses are beautiful and it's hard to choose my favorite of the breeds. But I did manage to narrow it down.
My favorite Hands down is the Arabian. Grace, Beauty, and endurance. I have ridden one before, and he was sweet, spirited. I would love to own one for myself when I get older.
My second is Quarter Horses. Strong, Speed, and easy-going. I have ridden this breed the most. They are strong, and fast, but easy-going with the beginners in riding. I love riding these the best.
My third is Fresian. Beautiful, Gentle, Loving. I have never ridden these gigantic horses, but they are sweet and gentle and are like big teddy bears. I would definitely want one of these later in my life.
My fourth is Saddlebred. Conformation, Personality, and Stamina. I love riding these because if you prefer a slower and calmer sprint than a QH, then this is perfect. Great trail riding horses, sweet and eager to please horses. Beautiful to stare at as well.
My fifth is the Mustang. Tough, Mysterious, Loyal. I never ridden one, but my friend's mustang acts a lot like her dog. He follows her around and gets jealous when a boy tries to flirt. He would jump through a ring of fire for her. These are tough horses, with stamina to match. They are loyal to their owners, but will greet anyone else with a mischievous prank. Trust me..I know.
I have many more, but I fear that if I go on and on, I will NOT stop. But I felt that I should just offer my opinion.

Oooh favourite breeds is such a tricky one! I have a lot, and it changes from day to day But I think these are the ones that always stay the same: Andalusians: I agree they are definitely the kings of the equine world. They have an air of romance and pride about them, and I automatically think of Old Spain when I see them. I'm a particular sap for bay Andalusians. Gypsy Vanners/Cobs: I ride these an awful lot at my stables, and they are famed for their loving, gentle and genuine natures. And obviously, their beautiful feathering and coats! They also come from another of my favourite places in the world, Ireland <3 Fjords: I think these ponies just have tonnes of personality and their unique manes and colouring are to die for! I have a soft spot for primitive coloured horses, and Fjords tick those boxes! Shire horses: They're just gentle giants and again, so loving. I've had more trouble with shetlands than I've had with Shires! They sometimes don't know their own strength, but the power in them is incredible! Shetland ponies: They just have cheek and attitude contained in their tiny little bodies, and they certainly act like a horse five times their size! They may be small, but they behave like little princes! annnd finally, I think it wouldn't be complete without the Mustang. Wild horses in general are beautiful, beautiful creatures and the Mustang is no exception. How they are adapted for survival whilst retaining their savage beauty is just incredible. I have a few more notable ones, such as Akhal Tekes, Abaco Barbs and Ardennes horses, but I've never really been a major fan of Arabians if I'm honest. I like them, but they've never been a favourite. I've ridden a few and I never really got on well with them: but one of them was absolutely bonkers, so I imagine that doesn't help my opinion! xD

d'aww I envy you in a good way, guys... I can't ride >< I tried and it was painful, knee and back problems, see? my teacher didn't help... he was a fan of french saddlebreeds but he spoiled them a lot, one of them was vicious, he bit one of the grooms and made him bleed, the owner just blamed it on the poor groom. I had the chance to vaccinate some Arabians, they where so gentle about it! I though they would react violently but they just stood still! they even accepted some carrots from me afterward I like drafties, too Percherons and Shires specially, Bravants (Belgian Draft) are awesome, too! really gentle. and Aztecas, they're a relatively new breed, a combination of Andalusians and Quarter Horses, I remember one particularly well, his name was Minuto, a mahogany bay azteca B stallion, he was so gentle and loving! proud and dignified but so gentle he could be handled by children. I miss him ;___;

I think hands down, my favorite breed is the american quarter horse....then again im biased because my mare is a quarter...but i love them for good reason, they seem to be the most level headed of the breeds, they are sturdy, calm and seem to reliably live quite long, as smoke at our barn is 34 years old and she only retired 6 years ago.
i think that for me appendix and arabs tie for second, i love appendix...i mean who wouldnt they can be registered quarter or thoroughbred and ik they arent really a breed but i consider them one cause theyre kind of misfits and i love arabs, more specifically polish arabs, although they are stalkier they tend to be more calm and more gentle then their egyptian cousins.
i am sorry to hear that you are unable to ride, that must suck./: but its good that youve still found ways to be around the horses.^^. i to have back problems and slight knee problems, although obviously not as severe as yours for i can still ride but any longer than an hour spent practicing and i cant walk the next day./:
and really a horse that viscious, i cant beleive he said it was the grooms fault to i mean its not like he just walked into the stall wanting to get bit by the horse. but if that comes from being spoiled i better not give cc so many treats.(x
further more i would like to say Rest In Peace Shorty, although you were young and many of your early years were hard, i hope the time you spent at Post and Rail was good, and that you felt at home there and like you were loved, you were a great horse Shorty, i will really miss you, and i know that no one will ever forget you and that your owner will always hold you close in her heart, you made a little girls dream come true even if it was a short while, RIP ill miss you little buddy...

Aww it's a shame you can't ride :c I'm rather lucky, because though I don't come from a well off family the stables I go to I've been to since I was 4, and then briefly in between I went to another one (where the Arabian was housed) and they're very nice, friendly people. There are so many people I know who's stables have been full of snobby girls, and I can't be dealing with those types xD
Yeahh that behaviour's a spoilt one, but that is really off. "It's your fault, you put your hand in his mouth!" Umm, no. |D
Drafts are my weakness, I love them so much! I would love to own one, but they're a lot of work I've heard =P a friend of my mum's has a shire horse called Dolly, and though she loves her to bits and has had her years, she does say she's more challenging than her old horse which was a welsh cob X. Bound to be though, with all that height and weight!
