Her ears flicked towards the large stallion, he seemed much less sociable than the pony, then lowered her head in shy submissiveness not wanting to meet his cold eyes. "i-im sorry i didnt know that anyone lived here...or owned it for that matter...i can move along if you wish..." she kept her gaze in the unmovig ground for a short while longer till he spoke again. Twitching her ears to his attention not her eyes she spoke again. "I dont know where i came from, if i knew id go back..." There was a tone of sadness that echoed in her voice as his question reared up painfull memories that she was normmally sufficient at suppressing. She let her ears fall back and fell to her mind to reflect on the sittuation but not for long.
Amayas ears pricked again as the stallion spoke not to her but to his smaller companion pony. "is who close.?" She looked at the pair intently, the next words drew her in further till it was to her full attention. "killed.?!" The fillys almond eyes grew large and round. Ther omminous things the ponys were saying unnerved her and she could feel the fear welling up in the pit of her stomach.

Vester snorted, seemingly happy with her response to the question, and flicked both ears forwards again in an attempt to seem a little more approachable. "You cannot remember? Well, you have been gone from it quite some time, then?" he asked, looking slightly confused as to how such a small filly had managed to survive on her own. Was her mother around? He looked back up and scoured the landscape. He wasn't threatened by a lone mare, but he was more concerned about the fate she might have beheld if her foal was wandering alone. He decided not to ask where the filly's mother was, and instead lowered his head to her, sniffing interestedly. He hadn't seen a foal before, not one of this age anyway. At her question he glanced at Taro before answering in a short, sweet way. "There are demons around here. Dangerous demons. So yes, you could be killed." He stepped a little closer to her and a gust of wind seemed to flow around her. "But you shall be safe, if we can help it."

Flashes of her home sped through her minds eye, of things she took for granted then but missed greatly now. "no, i cannot remember...i went on a walk one day a-and i found this path that ran through such a bautifull stretch of forest id ever seen..then something caught my eye and i followed it into a really dense part of the forest, after a short while it seemed to illude me and when i turned around to go back i couldnt find my way out. Ive wondered here and there since then, i know if im here, then i am surely very far away from home, however i do not beleive that i could rest until my family at least knows that im okay...It has been much time since i have left home and i am sure i have changed a great deal since then, i doubt theyd even reconize me like...well like this.." The tears were welling up in her eyes again but in an attempt to hide that weakness she swallowed hard, clenching her jaw tight so that she may swallow them back. For the while that she had told her story, her gaze had remained fixed on the ground, but she shut her eyes tight and looked the large stallionin the eyes.
The filly glanced down in amazement as a gentle wind swirled about her, weaving through her legs, making her tangly tail swirl around. Amaya looked back up at Vester he was closer to her now and his look had gone from a cold one to a gentle one, she had guessed that his hard facaude was only a mask and that he wasnt as cold and stand offish as he wanted others to think, she knew he had a sweet side to him, she could sense it. Looking up at him her eyes warm she spoke softly but a little louder than before. "you would do that for me.?"

((Time to bring in the foxes > there will be two of them, one can die Jiro: two tails, the youngest, most violent Saburo: four tails, the traitor)) Taro's voice lacked any sign of fear as he replied to Vester's question "I don't know how close they are but they know we are here" he though it was best to keep quiet for the rest of the conversation... the silver warrior was probably right, yet he hoped he was not, someone that young shouldn't become a victim of a battle that wasn't hers.
He lifted his head high "We will, we'll keep you safe but you need to be very brave... for now stay behind us, as close to the wall as you can" the air grew steadily colder, an empty kind of cold that gripped the soul instead of the body, the pony's breath came out in small white clouds of steam "I will keep them away from you, just scream if something happens... be brave, little one, it will be over before you know it" he cast a brief, reassuring smile at her.
He turned his back to Amaya, facing the thicket... standing between the filly and whatever may come, he then turned his steel colored gaze at Vester "We lost the element of surprise but we still got a chance... brace yourself, they will be here soon" he then turned to face the thicket and closed his eyes... then he flashed them open accompanied by a fierce snort... his eyes had changed, his usually placid stance became stronger, fiercer... like a hurricane brewing above the sea.
Something was scurrying between the bushes... moving toward them, grass and twigs moved here and there then... Nothing silence absolute, eerie silence... not even the wind rustled, the only sign of life came from their own breaths...
The roan pony held his stance like a statue, his mind focused on the task ahead. Then out of the emptiness around them... hoofbeats. A roan pony emerged from the thicket... small for his age, with a silver tail and steel colored eyes... he was wounded, breathing heavily... he looked at Vester nervously and backed away slowly... Taros eyes widened in horror, the young pony turned to look at him.
"...Father?" the young stallion moved forward with his head held low, sniffing at Taro suspiciously "father! it is you! I've looked everywhere!" tears filled his eyes, yet Taro remained immobile "I.... I escaped... someone else escaped, too... I think I lost them but... they may still be around... father please! let's go home!"
Taro's eyes slowly began to change... filled with uncontrollable rage.. "how dare you...." Upon closer inspection... something seemed wrong with the colt's tail... it was thicker than usual, four times thicker than normal.
A second creature came out of the thicket, a human. A frail child... she was shaking in fear, her eyes filled with tears... she wore loose clothing and her skin was full of cuts and scratches.
Tears ran down her little face... she took nervous glances behind her, then looked at Vester in the eye... she slowly, fearfully approached him, seeking protection....

Amaya layed her ears back on her head in apprehension, the severity of the situation she had gotten herself into, greatly unnerved her. "Thank you Taro and i will" She puffed her chest out slightly in mock bravery, the truth was she was terrified but at least she could try and act brave. Gradually, she felt the temperature fall and as Taro breifly turned his gaze back to her, she smiled in return.
Her small ears pricked forward and flicked about, following the various sounds of rustleing in the darkness that streched out before them. The suddenly it went quiet, and she began to speak but bit back her tongue as the silence wasnt a peacful one, no, it was more like the creepy calm that comes before a tornado rages across the land, destroying all that lay in its path.
Once again her ears picked up noise, but what was it, hoo....no it couldnt be..hoofbeats.?, she watched, straining her eyes to pick up any sign of movement out in front of them. She could feel the cold rock wall all across her side as she hugged right up against it. Then emerging from the blackness, came a pony, that quite strongly resembled Taro.
Father.? could this other pony be Taro's son.? they did look greatly alike both in colour and in features. She watched, curious as to why Taro would run up and embrace the equine, after all it was his son right.?
Amaya snorted in dibeleif as a small human slowly made her way into veiw out of the dark. She looked to be injured and quite frightened, and reminded the smally filly of the humans back home. Taking a step forword, she outstreched her head to peer between Taro and Vester at the girl. Watching intently as the girl stepped forward towards Vester, she couldnt help it she looked so scared, Amaya began to take a step closer to the girl, her gut telling her to comfort the child.

((ooohoo you inadvertedly played to one of Vester's weaknesses >D awesome!))
Vester nodded simply at the flly. "Yes", he said, and looked to Taro for instruction. He knew the pony knew more of these demons than he did, and he didn't want to be made the fool of. He pawed the ground and tossed his head, black mane flying out behind him as he readied himself mentally for the onslaught ahead. He didn't know what it would consist of, but it would be difficult, he knew that much.
When the pony emerged out of the thicket he snorted in suspicion and narrowed his eyes, looking on with a hint of satisfaction as the other shied away from him. He watched Taro with the pony for a while, and then noticed something strange. The tail...something about the tail was wrong. Horror filled his eyes and he backed up, tossing his head and letting a gutteral neigh fill his being. It cut off mid-flow though when he saw what came out of the undergrowth next.
It was a child. A helpless child. His tail twitched and his nostrils flared. She stepped towards him and he lifted his head high, a worried whinny coming from his throat. He remembered. He remembered the screaming and the cries of the trapped. Of the women and children felled by his hand...He shook his head and reared up onto his hind legs with a scream, thudding them back down into the earth inches away from the girl with an angered snort. He made sure to keep the filly behind him, and when he sensed her trying to sneak past he stamped his hind leg viciously into the earth as a warning. "Stay there", he ordered, "where I can keep an eye on you." He looked back to the little girl and his eyes began to look conflicted. She was crying, she was bruised and beaten.... "This is cruel", he said, more to himself than anyone else, and pawed the ground irritably, unsure of what to do or say.

((Feel free to RP as the fox for a while, if you need to like making it flee or fight if you like)) The child froze in place after Vester slammed his hoof... she fell backwards, her frightened eyes met Vester's blue ones, she curled up into a ball and began to sob... she was alone, helpless...
Taro stood motionless as the other pony spoke... his eyes burned with rage, fury consumed his mind but he remained motionless... waiting ... The other pony slowly advanced towards him with his dark head held low "Father, please... I understand your rage... I'm sorry I ran away... I'm sorry, please, show me the way home..."
That was it, with a swift movement, like a striking snake, The gelding launched himself forwards and bit the young stallion, grabbing him by the neck, and using the same momentum, he reared up and lifted the pony clear off the ground! slamming him against the floor on is side. somehow, the roan stallion seemed to weight a lot less than he should... The roan stallion couldn't even scream.
The old warrior released his neck and reared, neighing in rage, his thick mane dancing behind him like fire! and before the roan colt could react, he slammed his hoofs against his ribcage "HOW DARE YOU!" he roared "HOW DARE YOU ASSUME THAT SHAPE! WHERE IS HE!?" his voice had the ferocity of a tiger's roar, he reared up again and slammed his hoofs against the colt's side "SPEAK, DEMON! WHERE IS HE?!"
The roan colt held his eyes shut, his body was shaking... but not in pain, he was laughing... steadily, his laugh began to change... it became acute, unnatural.... "Clever... not bad for a beast of burden" then his eyes flashed open, they where no longer the color of steel, but the color of freshly spilled blood and they glowed like candles... still laughing, he lifted his thick tail, it divided into four parts... no, there where four! he had four tails.
"Think you can make me talk, old ronin*?" the creature held under the pony's hoofs changed in an instant... roan skin became red, hoofs became claws, equine teeth became pointed, tails became canine and bushy with blue flames burning at their tips. In an instant, the roan colt had disappeared and in his place, a four tailed fox grinned maliciously... almost as big as Taro himself, the demonic creature's eyes burned like live coals, it's very presence turned air into lead... and it kept laughing "Better say goodbye to that colt, you'll never see him again keh keh keh!"
The sobs of the child began to change as well... they became laughter... she turned her little head sharply... eyes red as fire! in a second, she jumped forwards, passing between Vester's legs like a current of water, and latched it's sharp teeth on Amaya's neck... the child disguise had faded and another demonic fox, this one with two tails, glared mockingly at Vester "Make one move and I'll rip off her head" ((*Ronin: a lower-class samurai with no master, a true samurai can become a ronin after his master dies or by birth, the son of a ronin is always a ronin.))

Amaya watched vester her eyes wide, almost a bit scared, why was he acting this way towards this poor helpless little girl. She jerking her head back letting out a brief cry as he slammed his hoof down before her, blocking her from the child.
she shot Vester a look, as if there were fires ragging in her deep eyes, as the tiny child fell to the ground the ground, her small body quaking as she cried. Extending her head a bit closer to the child she spoke quietly, and very gently, as her mother had done to her when she had been so scared at night. "Shh Shhh you will be okay now, every thing is alright, your safe now" she thought for a moment then remembered what her mother used to sing to her in her earliest days. "Hushabye dont you cry, go to sleep my little baby..." A soft whicker escaped her, as she tried to comfort the child.
Suddenly, Amaya turned to the two ponys as an attack broke out. Her eyes were wide with horror and confusion as Taro attacked his son. As she watched waitong for this to play out, keeping the small girl in her periferals, they pony on the ground seemed to begin to cry...or was he laughing.? yes it was definately laughing. The once pony figure on the ground began to morph before her eyes, it...it was a fox...In horror the filly began to back away from the scene as close to the rock wall and as far away from them as she could get.
She turned her attention to the helpless little girl by vester, and she to began to change form an innocent little human child to another fox-like creature. In a flash the creature went from being in front of vester straight to Amaya. Letting out a high pitched scream, her knees buckled and she fell to the ground as pain radiated from the spot where the fox was attached to her neck. She lay on the cold rock floor, frozen, motionless in terror, her breaths were coming out short and labored as the force of the foxs jaw obstructed her airway. Amaya looked up blinking her large purple eyes at Vester pleading him to help her.

Vester let out a squeal of rage and tried to trample the demon underfoot, but he missed badly. The fox had hold of the filly, and that enraged Vester to no end. He flicked his ears back and bared his teeth. No sudden moves, eh? he thought, thinking quickly as he looked to the demon and then to the terrified filly. No sudden moves... "This doesn't concern her", he said first off, driving a hoof into the ground as he glared at the demon. "It concerns my friend and I. No one else." He scoffed as he talked, tilting his head to one side. "Funny, the idea I could try to converse and convince a demon of its wrong morals." His eyes flashed dangerously; they became colder and dark, dark as the depths of the ocean, dark as the abyss, dark as eternity... "You really don't want to try my patience", he said, "because I can't control what I'm capable of." With that he stood stock still, not wanting to give the demon any chance to follow through with its threat, as he felt the power build in his body. He waited patiently, keeping his cold look on the creature before him, and then a blast of wind so strong it nearly toppled Vester himself shot at the demon, hitting it full in the chest. Vester stumbled and regained his footing, hoping the gust had done its job.

The two tailed demon held Vester's gaze without moving, no one had ever looked at him in the eye for that long... he bared his teeth at the sudden change in the silver stallion's eyes, he tightened his grip on the filly's neck and growled "I don't care! friend, you called him? keh keh... well, tell him to release my brother and I might do the same with this filthy little...."
he let out a yelp as the gale hit him like a hammer! it knocked him flat on his back, he quickly jumped to his feet and growled, the flames on his tails burned as fiercely as it's red eyes... his whole body shook with a low, rumbling growl... "you're no ordinary beast are you? yes... I can smell blood and death on you.... we may not be so different after all, and yet... you try to protect her from us, even if she means nothing to you..."
Taro fought hard to keep the struggling fox under his hoofs at bay and looked away for just a second to see what just happened beside him, that's all it took! the two tailed fox jumped at him immediately, the roan gelding had no time to react, the demon's teeth closed inches away from one of his eyes! claws digging into his side, he was trying to blind him! The pony reared and kicked repeatedly, trying to shake off his attacker, it was no use! the four tailed demon got up quickly and seized his chance to grab hold of Taro's neck.
Two against one, challenging but not impossible. Blood got into his eye, making it hard to see what was going on, what he was about to do was risky, but it was all or nothing! With both foxes still attached to his body he suddenly broke into a gallop, the four tailed one clinged to the ground with his claws but it was no use... with great effort, the roan pony kept gaining speed, heading straight towards the stone wall... he didn't stop, there was a loud thud and a crack as the pony slammed against the wall, demon foxes and all!
The demons immediately released him, the two tailed one fell to the ground in shock, gasping for air, it's ribcage was obviously broken, the older one stood beside him "brother! no! you..." he turned his long, narrow head towards Taro "you did this to my brother! I swear none of you will live to see tomorrow!" The impact knocked the air our of Taro's lungs, his vision got blurry... he stood with his head held low, coughing and gasping.
Hoping Vester's attention was on Taro the four tailed fox seized the opportunity to jump at Amaya...

Vester's nostrils flared as the two tailed demon began to talk, and his eyes narrowed with rage. "I am nothing like you," he spat, driving his hoof into the ground forcefully. "I look after her because she needs it. That's what makes you and I different, demon." He looked to the filly and nipped her on the neck sharply- not to punish her, but to herd her to a slightly safer place. That safer place was behind him, where he had his hooves and teeth to protect her. He smirked at the fox, glad that his curse had suddenly come to good use, and turned back to Taro. He saw the two-tail leap at him too late, and with a squeal went to help. Realising that it would leave the filly vulnerable, he wheeled back. Damn that filly, for crossing their paths! Damn her to Equus! He gave her another nip, itnending to drive her towards the brush nearest them. "Come on, Amaya," he said urgently, driving her onwards, "you need to hide. You'll be safe that way."
The sound of a collision alerted the stallion and he immedaitely went to his companion's aid. He saw that the two-tail was gravely injured so chose to ignore him; he nosed Taro gently instead. "Taro, you hang in there," he said softly, a voice unrecognisable from such a large, brutal looking creature. "I made you a promise and i'll keep to it. Your son will be found, just you wait and see."
He saw the flash of red and remembered the other fox. With a snarling whinny he lunged, managing to knock the demon off his jump that was no doubt towards the filly. "Leave her out of this!" he bellowed, the impact of him hitting the demon not only throwing the demon off but him also. His eyes blazed with a new found fire, but this was no fire of the demons. This was not warm fire but cold, brutal, harsh fire of the soul which burned everlasting in the pit of his chest. He reared up and brought his hooves down on the ground inches away from the fox with a scream of rage. All the while, he kept his eyes on Taro, waiting for the other male to regain his breath. That was his mistake; he was distracted, and demons took great pleasure in taking advantage of that.
