With a soft snort at her words, he gives the stable door another quick glance, before returning to attempting to find the sugar cubes she previously had, muzzle rubbing and poking at her pockets with a nicker. With a quick nip at the top of her pocket, the mustang raises his cranium once more, gaze swaying across the stable door. With a sharp snort, the stallion edges away from Ardelle, using his muzzle in attempt to push the door open, before drawing his cranium back swiftly, glancing around the outside of his stall curiously, with a hint of tenseness.
Retracting his muzzle briefly and nickering over at Ardelle, the stallion watches the shape of a human move in the distance, noting that it was 'Alex'. With a quick sharp whinny in his direction, the stallion draws his head back, edging towards Ardelle and poking her back softly with his muzzle, attempting to direct her to the door to see what Alex was doing with another equine; placing a saddle over its back. With a sharp snort of protest, the mustang watches curiously, wondering why the equine wasn't making any attempt to remove the device.

Seeming to understand, she went to look, then smiled back at him, "Oh, don't worry, he's just tacking her up for her owner. She has a riding lesson in a few minutes." She gave his shoulder a reassuring pat, I'll teach you about that in due time, but it might be a while still; I'd rather you be more comfortable around other humans before we give that a go. Best not to have you or anyone else get hurt." Done with brushing his mane anyway, she moved around and to the side to work on his tail. "...And I know you don't like Alex, but give it time, you'll see that he really doesn't mean any harm."

His auditories flicker and he snorts in a protesting manner, watching her as she moves around him. He flicks his banner out of the way momentarily, before allowing her to brush it, keeping his gaze locked onto the equine and its tack.
He watched a girl scamper up onto a mounting block, carefully slipping her legs over the horse's sides and taking up her reigns. His now slightly neater forelock hangs down over his muzzle yet again, cloaking the vision of his hazel optics, however he made no attempt to remove it, gazing at the equine and humans outside.
Turning his attention back to Ardelle, the mustang lowers his cranium and glances back, unable to see her. With a curious nicker, almost enquiring as to where she was, the stallion shifts his body round to face her, snorting quickly, tail moving out of reach. The bandage had already turned a sickly crimson, and the mustang carefully reaches down, nipping and tugging at the stained material with a casual snort, managing to rip off strands of crimson-tinted white, continuing to rip apart the material with a sharper snort this time.

Upon his inquiring nicker, she gave his rump a pat, but when his tail was pulled away, she shrugged, deeming it done anyway. However, when he started fussing with the bandage, she moved in, again giving his nose a push away from it, "No no, I'll change it; don't do that. " Putting the brush on the ledge by the scissors, she gave him one more pat before she went to get the things she needed again. Returning this time with them in a bucket for easier transport, as well as a bucket of water, she knelt by his leg again, carefully removing the bandage, and getting a new wet washcloth ready.

At her push back, the mustang gives her sleeve a quick nip, before stepping back a step. As the two buckets and new washcloth are brought into the stall, the mustang snorts quickly, auditories flickering back and forth, poking the bucket full of water with his muzzle. Releasing a soft exhale through his nostrils, the stallion glances down at Ardelle, poking his muzzle at her nose gently.
With a soft breath over her face, the equine exchanges a breath briefly, before removing his muzzle quietly, glancing over at the washcloth in her hand. Giving it a quick nip, the mustang curiously picks it up in his mouth, trotting to the opposite side of the stall quickly and placing it on the ground, poking it with his muzzle and repeating the process, hazel optics switching their gaze between the walls, Ardelle and the soaked cloth.
However, as he moves, the area around the wound rather quickly begins to become an odd colour of crimson, and the stallion glances down at it with a disapproving snort. Giving it a quick rub with his muzzle, the stallion lifts the cloth in his mouth once again, shaking and lifting his cranium, auditories flickering forward. Continuing to shift about along the walls, the stallion begins to slow his pace, beginning to seemingly limp slightly, halting completely and attempting to rub it once more, clearly not really getting the idea that doing that would just cause more irritation.

She smiled at his affection, but the nip was still not acceptable, and she smoothed her sleeve with her other hand, "No bit-- Hey...! Give that back, you silly--" Upon the theft of the washcloth, she made a failed attempt to grab it back, but when it touched the floor, she sighed, "Alright, you can play with that one, I'll get another..." Noting his leg and his rubbing, she decided it was best to be quick about it, and leaving the stall with the buckets, so he didn't end up playing with them too, she hurried off and got some more washcloths. Leaving the extra on the box outside the stall, she came back in with the new one and the buckets. Again she went for his leg, wet washcloth in hand, "If you rub at it, you'll only make it worse. Now hold still for me?"

Upon her departure, the mustang lifts his cranium to glance at the stable door, before bowing his head and edging off to the back corner, thinking she wasn't coming back. As the door swung open and she entered once again, the stallion shifts over to her quickly, placing the wet washcloth he had over he hair, almost in a mischievous manner. His auditories flicker quickly as he listens to her words curiously, nudging the wet washcloth off her head with a swift movement of his muzzle, before bowing his cranium with a soft nicker, remaining still.
Flicking his banner quietly, the equine pokes at her pockets once more, reaching for the sugar cubes she claimed to be giving him after she had finished tending to him.

She blinked as the cloth was dropped on her head, and laughed as it was removed, "You really are a silly one." Upon the attention to her pocket, she reached in, "Oh, right right, here you go." She held the cubes out for him, hand flat so he didn't mistake her fingers for carrots. Then returning her attention to his leg, she cleaned and redressed it before double checking the status of the other bandaged areas. Satisfied, she sat on the floor against the wall again to just watch him and keep him company for the time being. She was never more at peace than when she was with horses, and even just sitting in the stall with her new friend was more than enough to keep her content.

As the sugar cubes are presented, the stallion nickers softly, carefully taking them from the palm of her hand, crunching rather happily on them as she sits by the wall. Swallowing, the mustang glances over at Ardelle, hazel optics coated in a pleased glimmer. Auditories flickering forward, the equine shifts forward towards her slightly, cranium slowly lowering so it was level with hers, and he carefully rubbed his muzzle over her cheek, exhaling softly.
With another nicker, the stallion tosses his head back, making no other movement for a few moments, before resting his muzzle over her shoulder.

She smiled at the nuzzle, and when he rested his muzzle on her shoulder, she gave his cheek a light pat, "Heh... you really are such a sweetheart." Her thoughts, however, drifted back to what he must have gone through before he ended up in her care, and her expression soured slightly. She simply couldn't fathom how anyone could think it was alright to hurt another, be they human or otherwise. Not wanting to thinkk about that though, she gave her head a tiny shake. What matter was that he was here now, he was safe, and she'd make sure that remained the case.

As he felt the hand on his cheek, the stallion edges his muzzle along her shoulder slightly, towards her face, before glancing up at her now slightly odd expression. Removing his muzzle quickly, the mustang nickers softly as she shakes her head, and the equine carefully paces around her to glance over the stable door, noting that the equine previously tacked up was now being led away.
With a quick whinny in its direction, the mustang snorts, pacing backwards, auditories flickering. Glancing up at the hay net above, the stallion extends his muzzle towards it, before drawing his cranium back with a disapproving snort. With a quick lash of his banner, the stallion edged over to the corner, nodding his cranium down a few times.

Noting that he had probably read her body language, she quickly shifted back to normal, "Don't worry, I was just lost in thought for a moment." Also, she heard the departing hoof beats too, but hadn't given it any though, though the stallion apparently had. Her eyes followed him as he reacted to the hay and such as well, "What is it?" Standing back up, she scanned for what might be the matter, ready to try to help him understand whatever might require her 'explanation'.

As he shies off to another corner, the mustang lifts his fore- hooves off the ground in a sort of half-rearing motion, his cranium shaking to the side. His auditories gradually pin back as he snorts, carefully edging along the outskirts of the stall on the opposite side to the hay net.
With a shrill whinny, the mustang edges away from the stall door also, remaining in the corner, alert. As he switches his gaze back over the hay net, the stallion allows his nares to flare, slowly edging forward, ready to jump back. Poking his muzzle over towards it, the stallion snorts once more, quickly backing off and shaking his cranium.

"The hay? Would you rather it be on the ground?" She tilted her head a moment before releasing the hay so that it dropped to the ground in a pile, "Some prefer it up, some prefer it on the ground. If you want it on the ground, that's totally fine." She then moved to him to give him a reassuring pat. "There you go."

Rather suddenly, the mustang threw back his cranium towards the stall door, nares flaring as he propels himself onto his hind legs. With a shrill whinny, the equine slams his back hooves against the back wall in a series of wild bucks. His auditories swiftly pin back as the sound of a soft, elongated whistle gradually develops from outside the stall. Slowly, a boy appears at the enterance, glancing into the stables. He coos softly to the stallion, and as soon as he began to make the sounds, another face appeared alongside his, this time belonging to a horse.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drawn towards the sound of slamming, a teenage boy appears at the stable door. As the boy avoids eye contact with the stallion to try and keep him calm, the boy doesn't notice Ardelle in the stall, soon distracted by another face appearing beside his. It was the face of his horse, her beautifully dished face poking at his ear. With a soft chuckle, the boy raises his hand to her face, resting it on the crescent shaped marking and rubbing it softly. As the mustang inside the stall rears again, the teenager removes his hands from both the stall door and his own horse, rolling his eyes in a playful manner towards the mare at his side. "Alright, alright, I'm coming...". With that, he slowly began walking off, the black Arabian (with a spotted blanket) walks behind him with no leadrope. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
